No matter how fond you are some Indian coffee varietal, it will be tough to find unless it's ground up into your Nescafe.

Greenchutney, the Coffee Board of India is a trade group founded to raise the profile of Indian coffee in the world market. This stuff gets traded like oil. India's industry is still pretty small, and the domestic specialty coffee market in India is tiny.

God, no... Cost me a fortune visiting that place for a quick cuppa when in Harrogate on business a few years back!

Mind you, I was drinking Blue Mountain, the champagne of coffees

I like my coffee and I do have some rare beans from Latin America, Central Asia and from far east apart from my local coffee bean guy in Delhi who grinds the bean as per my instructions.
Still sometimes I like the coffee powder from Vietnam, its good and if you how the locals make it, you would love it more.
I assume same goes for Indian Coffee.

But not the most rare or expensive. Kopi luwak or Civet poop java gives a whole new meaning to "hot & steamy coffee"!

Lots of places in India your cup full of hot water and milk arrives with the spoonful of Nescafe instant artistically poised on the top. But having said that, the very best of coffee I ever had in India was at a street vendor next to a wholesale coffee bean place that was perfuming the entire street with the aroma of roasting coffee. That was in Visnakapatnam. Too bad Indian restauranturs are so taken with foreign novelties and that they don't support Indian products.

Best coffee I ever had was a blend of Blue Mountain and Kenyan. It cost around $20/lb. and they don't sell it anymore.
