Info on Delhi Hospital RGCI and location in Delhi

My father-in-law has been advised to go to the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute in Delhi as he has been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer. For docs on IM, they say it is Stage IV pancreatic cancer which has spread to the liver.

I am not familiar with Delhi at all.
The hospital is in Sector V, Rohini. In case we have to stay in Delhi for a while for his treatment, which area of Delhi is close to Rohini, and does anyone know anything about renting service apartments there?

I am flying to Delhi tonight. If any Delhi IM members can tell me anything about places that are close to or convenient for commuting to Rohini, I would appreciate it very much, thanks.

RGCI seems to be a good hospital. If anyone has had positive experiences there, please let me know. I guess some people might not have had positive experiences there, but we do not have too many options now.

Yes the hospital is very good so dont worry on that count. Rohini is on the metro route so connectivity is good. Apartments & lodgings are available around all such medical institutions which you will be able to find out easily. You can also check out the localities near the University campus like Kingsway Camp, paying guest accomodation is available & metro station is not far.

There is a Metro station right in front of that hospital.
This will allow you to live in areas where hotels are (not in Rohini) and reach there in less time than a taxi/auto will take.
