if i had been on my own i might have gained-but since i am living in an indian home, i am constantly being offered food even if i have finished a complete meal. once i was an addict to food, and now i dont like even the thought of it. i am happy enough to smell it cooking and leave the room...i have dropped at least 12 kg in two months.
i keep eating the bare minimum because i cant ever tell when i might have to go somewhere and eat a full meal-twice now this has happened that i had to eat two full meals in a row for fear of offending someone. i love the food (or used to) and i am not getting any exercise at all, whereas in america my lifestyle was to walk about five miles a day. in america i ate the same indian food, which i cooked myself-but unfortunately also junk food (candy, pastry etc) while here i am totally off sugar and white flour. i also limit rice in my diet. |

WOW!!! Thank you everyone for your replies! I feel better about asking my 'silly' questions and I definitely feel better about the tandoori and dosas!
Woohoo! The responses all made sense to me, I'm going to be walking around all day sweating my butt off and eating real food instead of sitting at my computer munching on chips, therefore I will likely lose weight. Sounds good to me! Thanks again everyone! Rachel |
