i need sudafed fast!!!

i got actifed from a doctor-only 25 mg of pseudoephedrine in that, plus antihistamine. i tried to get plaine pseudoephedrine 120 mg and it isnt available in bhopal. i have an earache that wont quit! i cant increase the actifed-oh yes, and the doctor is out of town.

is there a website where i can order sudafed and have it mailed to me in india? so far i havent found one...and of course my internet connection is painfully slow...i have to keep asking people in the states to mail me stupid stuff like this!

Have someone in the States mail you a larger quantity of Sudafed and any other OTC drugs that you may use; be sure they send it by registered mail.

I'm sure the website you found charges a lot more than Walgreen's or some other local drug chain or big box store does.

If I had seen this last night, I'd have bought you a bunch of it at Costco ... I just got home from there. <sigh>

yeah, for the future that's what i guess i will have to do...i was hoping to avoid that. it seems i should be able to cope with things that are here.

money doesnt seem important when one is having an earache and waiting for relief...but the fact is i could find no website at all that would ship to me here.

that's one thing i miss about america. i could order anything i wanted and it would be on my doorstep in a day or two usually.

I'm no doctor, and don't play one, but pray tell, what does sudafed do for your ears? unless it relieves sinus pressure on them???
And yo have been to a private doctor where you are, ya?

yes, it is the congestion in the head that falls into the ears, gets stuck, and then gets infected...my ear drums have broken open and bled more times than i can remember. sometimes doesnt happen for years. it seems to happen when i get a cough-that was my mistake, i should have stopped the cough. next thing to look for is a cough suppressant i used to buy in the states called delsym-worked like a charm. if they dont have that, indian rum might have to do...been dying for an excuse to try it anyway...

saw an ent/surgeon who is out of town at the moment. i may be feeling a tad better today-i hate when i get better really really slow, so i cant feel happy about it. instead of the ear popping and all of a sudden i can hear everything, sometimes it comes back so very slowly that one day i realize 'hey, i'm not deaf any more....' but it isnt very exciting, ya know?

Being no doctor it sounds like you have a sinus infection caused by pollution particles that you pick up in the air.

Does it feel like your head is going to explode and your ears are stuffed with cotton?

Do your ears sometimes pop open?

When you talk does it sound all nasally?

If it's something like this actifed won't work. You would need to go to a pharmacy and get an antibiotic for a sinus infection.

I don't know the name of the medicine but the symptoms are something that I get all the time from the air in Dehli. Three or four days of an antibiotic usually clears it up.

Avoid all travel if you can and especially anything that goes from one elevation to another or else it will feel like your head is going to explode.

Again I am no doctor, but have had these symptoms in the past and no matter how much whiskey, disprin, or any over the counter drugs, none will work except for an antibiotic.

Hope this helps
Mike

i have been taking cefixime 200mg twice a day for almost ten days, with a break of about 36-48 hours after the fifth day.

this is something i got in the states sometimes, but in my case it is the congestion that gets infected and then cant get out. so the speed and strength of the decongestant is crucial. maybe the infection causes the congestion, but i thought it was the other way around...

i feel a slight improvement, but have to wait until jan 20 for the ent to return, unless i decide to go to someone else. also, if i stop taking the antibiotics again i dont know what will happen.

my ears havent been right since diwali when the firecracker went off right next to me...in the meantime there is this damn wedding happening in the house early next week and the promise of more firecrackers! ah, life in middle class india...by the way, no one i have spoken to here has ever had an earache...

Maybe you should consider heading back home for a bit to get yourself fixed. The doctors in India are excellent and I see no reason why they cannot cure your illness/illnesses.
