hi
i've been over here for 6 weeks and i've been ill the whole time, i still love every minute though. after going to about 5 doctors i found out that i've got hyperacidity, apparently lots of travellers get it. basically i feel nausesous all the time and even worse if i eat. has anyone else had this? if so how can i get rid of it? i've been given medicine to take and advised that i need to carry o ntaking it for upto 3 monthe so that i don't get a stomach ulcer, but when i'm travelling it's going to be a pain in the arse to have to go to a different doctor and explain the problem each time a need a new prescription as the doctor will only give me a weeks supply of the stuff. i'm open to almost all suggestions as it's beginning to get me down. |

Follow the other's advice about food and buy the medication over the counter if you find that it is helping you...you rarely need a script for anything in India.
You have unusual symptoms for hyperacidity...usually heartburn and gastric reflux. However so long as you have no side effects, the medication won't do you any harm. |

thank you all, i'll take all your advice on board - i have a coconut every day so that's a start, but i live with an indian family who speak no english so geeting across the message about not eating spicy food is a bit of a problem! i've been advised to eat more but and i have tried but i must be a complete freak as that just makes me worse!
just been given another prescription - buscopan, omeprazole and moaspride. they seem to helping loads. |
