When we say roadside food, it does not mean essentially stalls or hawkers only. The primary contributors are small shop owners, often without a name or just family name,

Well you can find small dhabas on most roadside by the lunch and by the evening.Secondly,What you wanna try? there are variety of roadside stalls.
If you are already in Delhi. It is much better to locate one yourself and share your experience. |

None in the major tourist areas during the time around the games maybe, but banning them in the rest of Delhi? No chance! No doubt a few Rs scattered here and there will make the "ban" disappear in many neigbourhoods. Lets face it, enforcement has never been a forte of the Indian authorities. Besides, I'm sure that the Indian police, along with the police forces of every other country, are heavy consumers of street food. ![]() It ranges from food that will make you severely ill, to amazing food that will make you want to weep with joy! Where can you find the best? Shashank hits the nail on the head when he says "without a name" - or without one readable by most westerners. For instance I can recommend a fantastic kebab place that Shashank took us to, but where to find it? Erm... Nizzamudin, next to the roadside tyre depot.
