Hi Bodrum,
Welcome to IM
I don't know about the safety, and how long you need for immunisation, but you can get the stuff done here privately at numerous places, and i should think at a fraction of $100!

hey,

I am not an expert but since you are in a hurry - here's what my little knowledge says:

My suggestion - if you tend to get a fever after an injection then avoid it - otherwise on arrival they will seggregate you to the Swine Flu section!

If you stay at Karol Bagh, go to the nearby Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi 110060, INDIA
Tel: 4225 1099 or 4225 1892.

As far as I know, they will be reluctant to give you (I mean an adult) Polio shots(drops?). Tetanus is no problem.

Hepatitis injections have to be taken in a series - but DO get it. More people in India die of Hepatitis than AIDS etc.

Going to a hospital will help with regards to getting injections for Hepatitis etc to save on the cost - cuz a Vial should cost you 50% of what u just quoted. But I am not an expert so I can't say much about the price.

I don't think the price will be any different for you than that paid by an Indian.

However if you go to medical centres that cater more to 'medical tourists (foreigners thereby insurance)' e.g., East West Medical Centre, Apollo - then they might charge your insurance company a hefty amount. Anyway pricewise, I always prefer GangaRam Hospital.

Hope it helps you.
