help! need to find two medications!

Please, I need your help. I am traveling into India in the next few days and need to find Effexor and Lamictal (venlafaxine and lamotrigine) as those are the only two drugs that work for me. I have completely run out. Is it possible to find these drugs in India?

I am neither a physician nor a pharmacist and know nothing more about this than what I've picked up on a quick Google search. I gather you need not worry.

The link below to wikipedia says that generic Effexor is available in India:
venlafaxine(scroll to Generic)

And this one seems to indicate that Lamactal is manufactured in Greater Mumbai:
Lamactal

Have a good trip, gypsy. And welcome to IndiaMike.

Don't forget to carry your Prescription and buy from large chemists or pharmacies.

can you suggest some place in Darjeeling?
Also, I am bringing my script from Bangkok, that should work, right.
I haven't had to deal with this for so long I have forgotten how to go about it.
Appreciate you guys responding, thanks.

Frank Ross Pharmacy, The Mall (Nehru Road), smack in the center of the action is a big and old place with a great reputation. Haven't dealt with them ourselves, but passed often on the main shopping drag of town and saw that they were always very-very busy. (There is, improbably, a Frank Ross cafe adjacent.)

Carrying your script is obviously the thing to do, especially for high-powered meds. But we've dealt with several pharmacies in India for lesser but supposedly prescription medicines and found the chemists willing to dispense without script.
