Goa witha 6 month old

Hello all,

My wife and I, both experianced India travellers, are going to Goa for a month with our 6 Months old baby girl.
As we know poeple who've done it before, we thought - "No Problem". but now, After having tickets (including connection flight to Goa), Visas and all (Flight Sep 20th), are having second thoughts.
Especially worried about Malaria.
What do you say? - assuming we're extra-careful with mosquito-nets, repellents and so on, is it still a stupid thing to do, or is it just pre-baby-travel cold feet?

And if not Goa - anybody has a suggestion for a good, relaxing baby-friendly Malaria-risk-free location?

Would especially love to hear from someone who has done this before.
