With the fine-ness of needles these days you'll hardly feel a thing, It's nothing, truely.
Your arm might feel just a little numb/heavy for the rest of the evening, but tomorrow It'll be gone, ha ha,,,,,, not your arm, the numbness Definitely worth it,,,,,,,, |

Think how painful a bee sting is ...dwell on it for a moment
Well its nothing like that and if the nurse is good ...painless No worries and may the antibody fight begin Had the typhoid shots and had no side effects whatsoever All down to the individual so take it easy have a stiff shot of your favourite whatever and think of why you're getting it done ...Sit and dwell on that ...chillin on the beach with beauty Bryan

I just got done taking the Typhoid pills. I guess they are actually recommended now over the shot as the shot lasts like 2 years and taking the pills lasts like 5 years. I took one pill every other day with a total of four pills taken. No side effects or problems.

When I went for my first trip 2 years ago, I got like 7 different shots on the same visit! The doctor kept asking me when the last time I got: tetanus, rabies, polio, booster, etc. I kept saying, "I don't know, I don't know!".
She asked why I didn't know? I told her that I have gotten all the shots that people in the US need to get (in order to attend school, etc.). She said, "Just in case, let's give you the works." I told her that was fine as I would rather get them all out of the way in one sitting. My arm hurt (like someone punched me in it) for the rest of the day and I got sick for 48 hours (I think one of the shots was supposed to do that to make sure it is working). No biggie afterwards! |

Re: getting my shots in 3 hours!!!
I've just had my six shots (over a couple of weeks), and was pretty scared myself - they were absolutely painless - no hastle at all, just ask not to be shown the needle. Some nurses are pretty amazing, a few I didn't even feel.
Good luck |

I had the oral typhoid vaccine last winter, instead of the injection. I didn't get sick from it.
I did get shots for Hep A, Tetanus, Polio, and flu all at the same time, and a second Hep A shot some weeks later. None of them were too bad -- I've had worse. |

I am going in February. Is it too early to start getting my shots? Other than the malaria treatment, I am not certain if the other vaccinations are something I should go ahead and do. I was advised to get protection against typhoid, tetanus, hepatitis A and the standard US Public Health Services stuff. That seems like a lot.
