Getting hep jabs in India?
Hello,
I´m itching to get off to India, and I´m considering going before taking the 2nd hepititus jab that I´m due. Is it safe and easy to get it done in India(I´ll be going to Goa first)? Thanks. Myles. |

Hi Myles,
I had mine done a couple of years ago in Bangalore and Bombay. Its pretty easy doing it here. Just get the name of the vaccine that you had for the first round and show it to a doctor here. He/ she will suggest the equivalent for it that is available here. Once you buy that (shoud cost you about Rs 500), you can take it back to the doctor and get it injected. That should cost you another 50-100 bucks. That simple ![]() Cheers sK |

There are inocculations for Hep A and Hep B - former is oral/fecal route transmitted and should be inocculated against - Hep B arises from more risky behaviour .... jab for this also ... the other alphabet of Hep there is no recourse as yet ...
