For the ladies, if you know what I mean
If you don't take your own pharmacy with you....write this down:
Clotrimazole Vaginal Gel (also known as Candid-VGel or just V-Gel...) It is a broad spectrum fungicide AND Trichomonacide. Works for yeast infections, trich, bacterial vaginitis and infective leuchorrhoea. We're not Drs....but it has no systemic affects so if you are having a minor problem and scared/embarassed/unable to go to the gyno you can try this. If it's going to work, the relief will be very very quick. And you can use it inside and out. (NOT orally, obviously.) ![]() When you go to the "drug store" you'll probably be the only woman standing in line, or rather, crushed up against the counter vying for the "pharmacist"'s attention. It can be humiliating to try to explain what you need, so simply write it down in block letters and hand him the piece of paper over the heads of the other guys. We live to serve.

If you are looking for a natural remedy for the same problem, try tea tree oil. Use it, a few drops only, in a quart or more of hot-as-is-comfortable water and douche once or twice a day. It offers tremendous and rapid relief. I suppose you can get those disposable douche things at a pharmacy in India, but don't know. May want to bring one along if you are prone to this type of infection.
Tea tree oil is a wonderful thing. Good for any type of skin ailment or infection. You can even gargle with it if you have a canker sore or other oral/throat infection. Smells good, too. You should be able to get it at any health food store in your native country. |
