food and diet question

Hello everyone,

I will be travelling to india in January and am a little concerned about following my diet over there. I have anklosing spondylitis (arthritis) and I avoid bread, wheat, rice, potatos and other starchy foods like that in order to reduce inflammation/pain. How difficult will it be to maintain my diet? and do you have any recommendations on meals to eat?

why don't you go to Keralla? I had an ayurvedic treatment done by a doctor in Varkalla who said that he can cure arthritis.
My mom has arthritis and I am thinking one day I will bring her there.
anyhow, I think it is fairly difficult to maintain your diet, unless you go to touristy areas and there you might be able to find western food.
but if you stick to Indian food and you stay away from the food that causes you trouble, you can still survive.
There are many meals in Indian cuisine that you can eat and avoid those certain foods. Many meals are daal based or you can have vegetable meals or meat meals.
