First time to India - Med Precautions?

Hello everyone,

I am so excited im bursting to go. in jan. ill be arriving in Delhi, and then over about 2 and a half weeks visting, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad.

I think I qualify for shots/meds from the VA hospital. Am i being too concerned or what? anything i should be concerned with?

any info would be greatly appreciated.

Know the feeling

Get everything you can out of the VA. They owe you. Even if its just a tetanus shot.

Its good to get a round of all the basic stuff, and you shouldn't feel like a wimp being concerned about it. Here are the CDC recommendations:

You can get alot of info from old posts on the topic in this forum, including everyone's personal preferences, uninformed opinions, and some just plain common sense!

What I do is listen to it all, check out the CDC website and go to my local travel clinic (I am so lucky to have the San Francisco Dept of Public Health's Travel Clinic, the best!) and talk to my doctor.
