emergency in bhopal

hi there-i made it! more a bout me later...

the staff at the hotel (lakeview ashok) asked me to call some other guests who are from germany who need help, and it turns out the lady has a fever of 104 for about three days. they wanted a travel guide or survivor kit which i dont carry, and my friends here have gone to delhi for the weekend so i cant give them any other help.

i thought the hospital here in town was good, but i am not sure.

have you any advice for them? i know belladonna is good (homeopathy) but i didnt bring any of that either.

i also know dengue fever is breaking out in delhi...i asked if they had been there and they said no. but they didnt tell me any more when they saw i couldnt help.

i will be online for a while longer...actually if it was me i would see alocal doctor, but i think they did and she had something, antibiotics or whatever, and didnt work. i dont know what sanitation is like in hospitals here, but i am sure the doctors are as good as anywhere in the world-if you like that kind of thing.
thanks

1. call a doctor
2. check if she has been able to drink enough (i.e. if she has any urine output) .
Rehydration : 1ml of salt + sugar (even better , dextrose) dissolved in one liter of boling water, let it cool down. Drink if fully awake.
3. Call the doctor

good luck
