No, like I said, I don't use a net. Just a little odomos on hands and face is enough for me.

The electrical ones make me cough. Plus they stink like cheap soap.

Now I'm confused. Is DEET = Odomos?

Mosi Guard is also DEET Free, but I'm not sure if you can get it world-wide. (I didn't look in India as I took a supply with me)

That's the rub. Means reapplying every couple of hours. Could be just as good as Odomos (yes, contains DEET), though, which is only 12%.

YogaGal mentions using Sesame Oil as a Base Oil. Will people please note that, if they do not realise that essential oils (mostly) have to be diluted like that before use --- then they should learn some basics before experimenting. Some of those oils, if used neat, could inflame worse than a mossie bite!

What's wrong with using electric devices, by the way? It can't be much worse inhaling the chemicals than rubbing them into one's skin...

Oils didn't work for me, at least citronella didn't.
The net is essential (well, for me it is...), as is net-covered windows. No, I don't put repellent except when I know a few are around.

The electric devices are not repellant, they are insecticide. They should be used for an hour or so in a closed room to kill all the insects. The room should then be aired before sleeping in it. They make me cough too.

Yes, there are days when the mossies and the ants make my life hell. But, on the whole....

I don't think I've seen any of the British brands of repellant here. We have Odomos, or, errrm, Odomos.

Oh, there's GoodKnight too, and I've got a bottle of repel on the shelf that I think I bought here....

Ok, I'll rip that off my Ayah tomorrow

Na, all my windows have metal mossie screens. It's perfect for the cats as well, as they can sit and look out but not fall out (4th floor)!
