skin problems generally mean the eliminative systems are sluggish and not doin their job properly; particularly the liver and colon. neem is a common ayurvedic herb for skin problems, yet without addressing the underlying issue it is only so effective.

Yes - Indian people can suffer from this condition.

Because the condition varies so much from person to person, the qualified ayurvedic practitioner will prepare a suitable treatment for each patient.

Sounds interesting. I think I get mine from strees related syndromes.
Can one purefy the liver? Stop drinking alcohol maybe? In Indian yoga they do some sort of diets etc to clense the colon. Might this sort of treatment help?

ah, i know of this stress, of late. it's been wreaking havoc on my immunity! liver purification is always a good idea since it performs over 500 functions and would love to have some cleansing and rebuilding herbs, esp. if one uses alcohol regularly. Triphala would probably be a good herbal formula to start with. It really helps in countless ways. And pancha karma would be of great help. When i go back to india i'm going to have myself at least a week of it.

Triphala is a combination of three ayurvedic herbs best taken in powder form. It is generally soaked in water (1t to a coupla swigs of water) for a few hours or overnight. You then pour the liquid off leaving the sediment behind and down the hatch. Mmmm, it tastes pretty yucky, but it's good for ya.

I read in the press about an english truck driver who formualted a cream (Skin Sure) to help his wife who had eczema. What the doctors could not do this cream did. It sorted out his wifes eczema in a few days. Further more some university tested it and found it was a great anti bacterial barrier cream which resisted the hospital superbug.

Interesting stuff.
When it comes to skin. Skin doctors dont know anything but kortisone.
My acupunchture doctor say the problem is in the blood.

I've heard that Chinese medicine gets pretty good results with eczema.

Quote:
Purification of the Liver

Take one or more livers, immerse in cold water and bring to the boil. Simmer for at least ten minutes, skimming off impurites
Sorry... couldn't resist!

Well, err, no... then you serve it to your guests. Frightfully sorry, sir, I seem to misunderstood something fundamental in Sir's requirements.
