There was a man from Mumbai
Who went on a lassi-tasting trip to Chennai
At every village tavern
He sought the drink at his turn
He only realized 'twas bhang when he wound up in Madurai.

<yeah, yeah, lame >

I love lassi and I am probably going to India (1st time) possibly in June. If you request no ice, is the lassi at least somewhat cold?

EAST or WEST Lassi of Amritsar is the best

As far as drinking lassi goes.. i guess for stayin healthy and fresh especially during summer of india.. one shld drink a glass full of lassi everyday... i would advise of havin sweet lassi as the sweetness also helps one regaining the lost of sugar from one's body

and in Amritsar .. no one adds ice

Anyhow..I am already going on a Drive to Saturday...

Me, my car, some music, amazing roads of Rajasthan, 24 hours and the thick lassi, the type you only get in Rajasthan. Touted to be Camel's Milk...not sure though..

the ice we’ll use to get messi

One day in old Varranasi,
Decided to try special lassie.
Downed it one,
And started to hum...
Hmmm... where was I? I think I was saying something? Toast! Must start an IndiaMike thread, Help, Urgently need... Hmmm, what was it I urgently needed?

(Nope, I'm no poet: back to Karuna and the rest of you )

The lassi should be cool, the curd (yoghurt) will will been in the fridge. Maybe.

Once the mango season really gets going (if we can afford them this year, it's not looking good, bad harvest, high prices ) I'll be having some pretty-good lassis in my own home

there once was a member called brishti
who was always kind, never bristly
but her cricket team
fell apart at the seams
and now she writes poems about lassi
