Doxy in India

Hi all,
I will be india and taking doxy for malaria prevention. I will be there for 4-6 months and do not want to carry all the doxy I will need around with me. In most posts it seems that antibiotics are available without a prescription, but in a recent post "somewhat sick in Delhi" it seemed that chemists would not sell the poster anitbiotics. Will this be a problem for me, or should I be able to get doxy easily?

Also does doxycycline go by other names in India?

Does not matter..the chemists will understand doxycycline

Oh, so to avoid tetra one should take doxy!

Just remembered something important, make certain it isn't expired. Otherwise throw it away..
