Don't Let The Bedbugs Bite!
We are travellers, and sometimes we stay in places that we wouldn't want our mothers to even think about, right?
What if we bring back some living souvenir that would make Mom freak out? There have been several news articles in the US about the reappearance of bedbugs -- and I'm sure that some of those critters hitchhiked home in our bags. So here's an article to save, about how to get rid of bedbugs without toxic chemicals, just in case one or two of these critters go home with you after your next visit to India: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/04/28/HOG27PEHTJ1.DTL&hw=bedbugs&sn= 001&sc=1000 |

i've been wondering if i brought cockroaches home with me since the last several hotels that i stayed in had them. i'm hoping that they didn't survive the airplane trip back with me.

You will know soon if you brought roaches home with you. Boric acid will kill them -- it's a slow but certain process.

If you've gotta kill 'em . . .
I find the bottom of my shoe is also fairly certain, and quicker . . . more compassionate (the fact that you're killing them aside)

There's a bedbug epidemic here in NYC - scares the living daylights out of me. I've heard that using a silk(not cotton) sleeping bag liner will prevent them from biting you.

I have a homecoming routine that takes care of this : everything (yes , everything : clothes , shoes, gear .. ) goes directly either in to the washing machine , or the freezer (or the balcony , means the same thing here most of the time
) |
