Do I take a Sterile neddle Set and other things?
Hi there Iam of to India in November and have been told to take a Sterile neddle Set and a First Aid Kit.
I will be staying in good hotels. Should I take them or should I leave it as they are not cheap and adds weight to my luggage. I have been told to take lots of things and the cost is adding up. Does any one have a list of what to take and is it easy to get bit in India. Please help Nigel |

I took a sterile needle kit and basic first-aid kit - and felt happier knowing I had them (and happier still to have never needed them!!!). I'm sure plenty of other people on here will say it's not necessary. At the end of the day it's your call. Of course, there's no point taking them unless you're prepared to carry them around with you at all times. You can buy first-aid items and medications etc. in India for much cheaper - so you might want to wait until you get there and buy your first-aid kit when you arrive.

Yes and no, most everyone now uses disposible (what washes up on the beach) needles. However, reports surface of reuse. How much of this occurs at the higher levels of medical care that a tourist uses I don't know. I thought of this but never did so in all of my trips..
