Dentists in Pune
Please recommend good dentists in Pune for fairly routine repair work. I have been to the Ruby Hall Hospital and know there is a dental department there. Are they good? Thanks in advance.

I have never been to Ruby Hall, dentist or otherwise so I can't advice you on that. I have been going to Prem Nanda in East Street for years, he is very good, very up to date, modern, experienced. He's a specialist for implantology and all kinds of correctional procedures (braces, teeth whitening etc) as well. Do you want his number?

Thanks, just the kind of recommendation I was looking for. Please provide number if it is not too much trouble - else I can find him with the info you've already given when I get to Pune. |

You're welcome. His number is 26345791 or 26345792. One tip: he has a couple of other, younger dentists working under him. Insist that HE does the work for you, he's better than the other, he's older, more experienced, simply say that otherwise you'll go to another place.
He also handles fear very well, I'm a real chicken when it comes to drilling and root canal etc, and he's always been able to talk me through the procedure, gives me breaks when I need them etc. Good luck! Oh, and if you happen to have a full mouth x ray already take it with you. He likes doing them to get a thourough impression of the state your teeth are in, but if you have one already you don't have to repeat it. Last edited by Noodle : Jan 20th, 2007 at 22:31. |

THAT's his name, Prem Nanda. I was trying to remember...a friend recommended him. Supposed to be gentle and very up to date with technology. Good recommendation.

Great reccommendation!
Thanks Noodle! Great reccomendation. I just had a cleaning done there by (I guess, his assistant/colleague) Sachin, who appears to be a fully fledged dentist himself. I was very impressed by the hygeine, professionalism, and above all sensitivity and communication skills at the office. Definitely worth my Rs. 750.
