How long will you be in Mumbai? Its the most expensive city in India and Dentistry is very expensive compared to the "rest of India". Send me a PM . I will dig up something. But good dentist appointments are difficult to get "immediately"

what is it like getting worked on?
Are the dentists good and what are the costs compared to home (wherever that may be)
I have been traveling to several cities in the south and was "saving up" my dental work for Mumbai, thinking that bigger would be better. It sounds like I would have been smarter to have the work done in Hyderabad or Bangalore when I was there. I am in Pune now and will ask around. Should I have crown and onlay work done here in India, or should I wait? Any opinions or help are sure appreciated. |

I got some work done at a clinic located somewhere behind St Andrews Church in Bandra, Mumbai. I had a Root Canal, A Crown, 2 fillings and an extraction. The total was less than $100 US for the lot. The dentist spoke fluent english and had moved back from New Zealand. I lost his card but I am sure its pretty easy to locate him as he is the only dentist in that area.

freemanx,
if oldhippie's dentist charged those rates post-2000-AD, then he is really the cheapest. Try him out. If he is as good as it seems, even I will take the trouble to go all the way to Bandra. There is a specialized breed called "implantologist". They charge Rs 4000 to 7000 per implant. oldhippie's dentist sounds like manna from heaven, |
