dengue epidemic situation?
Hello!
I am travelling to india in about 3 weeks and i've just been looking on the internet for health care before travel and i new that there is a dengue epidemic in kolkata (to where intravelling to) and that there has been a japanese encephalitis epidemic in august. Does anyone as any information/advise about this situation? Thank you Ricardo |

I was in Delhi a couple of years ago when they were having a dengue epidemic; the disease is carried by mosquitos that bite in the daytime, so be sure to take lots of repellent (DEET) with you.

Try the World Heath Organisation for up to date information.
Not sure about the Dengue Fever situation but there is a blurb and links concerning the Jap Encep outbreak. Be Alert, Not Alaramed.
