Talking Delhi & Rajasthan: malaria risk?

Hi all

Well, 25 days to go and we've had all the shots, got the visas and are getting excited...we've also got the malaria tablets, but I'm finding it difficult to find info about the monsoon in the Delhi -Rajasthan region this year. This is our destination for 3 weeks and I don't know if there's a high risk of malaria. On one hand, 2 weeks of our trip is in the arid Thar desert region, but on the other, it is the post monsoon period in Sept-October.

Anyone know how the monsoon season is currently affecting this area? I'm travelling with a 14 year old, so apart from my own health, I don't want to risk her's, but I keep wondering if it's overkill....

Thanks
