Hang on in there though, there maybe someone out there with a more positive experience!
Yeah my only experience so far of Goan hospitals was last trip when i did a 'liver cleanse' that went wrong (due to a giardia infection), resulting in painful swollen kidneys Anyway i asked around for the best hospital in N.Goa and i somehow ended up in a drug rehab unit full of wheeler dealer westerners doing insurance scams etc!! When i eventually got seen, the doctor was a big blubbery man, picking his teeth and smoking a fag, so when he poked me in the stomach and back a few times and told me i needed to return with my stool sample (so no doubt he could pump me full of antibiotics) as i had 'an infection', i ran for the hills and quickely managed to cure my self through necessity!! (I drank lots of clean water and used grapefruit seed extract amongst other things which is anti-parasitic and great for zapping giardia)!

Plastic Surgery

Annie - if you are still interested I know 2 people who had plastic surgery in Goa this year - both at the Vintage Hospital in Panjim and both were very pleased with it. (they have a web site).
A surgeon comes down from Mumbai to do the initial consultation and then the procedures are done the following week. The cost was about half of the UK price.
The hospital looks a bit run down from the outside but when you get inside it is spotless - we didn't go in the first time we went but my friend had been recommended this surgeon so we went back another day and went in - and she is very glad she did.
By the way it was not me it was my real friend - I havn't got the bottle to go through with it although I would love to.

Inna,

Are you serious? You wanna get cosmetic surgery in India? I know the previous posts are a year old. But, I don't think that the cosmetic surgery quality in India have improved by much?
