Cosmetic Surgery in Goa

Hi,
I'm looking for a good plastic surgeon, preferably in Panjim or North, and perferably with a history of practice in Europe or US.

Anyone got any tips (good or bad!)

Many TIA,

Annie

I am not sure what procedure you are looking for, but would recommend you to head for one of the specialist hospitals in bigger cities... like Mumbai, Bangalore or Chennai.. If you search the threads here you would find recommendation of hospitals in these cities..

Annie, the only place in Goa suitable for plastic surgery is the Apollo Victor hospital in Margao. They have a famous Mumbai based plastic surgeon Dr. Narendra Pandya who visits every month.

Hi Annie G,
I remember you driving around on your "Enfield" looking ike a 35 year old. It can't possibly be you thinking of plastic surgery. However,From personal experience I can indeed help in your request. Contact Dr Rajiv Usgaocar(Dr Raju) at Manipal Hospital, Dona Paulo. tel 9822103238 or email rajusg99@sancharnet.in
Apart from cosmetic surgery, he is a fantastic human being who does an enormous amount of free reconstuctive surgery for people who have been injured and cannot afford medical treatment. He travels each year to Himachel Pradesh where he gives his time and expertise to anyone who walks hours to the camp for surgery, working day and night. He worked in the U.K for many years. I know many British tourists who have been to see him over the last 2 years and everyone has been very happy with the results.
I would be interested to know your findings on a good lawyer and open university. I have a friend whom studied a masters degree in Journalism in Goa (although she had to attend classes, it was not O.U). It was affiliated with a university in Puna.
Best Wishes and Good Luck with the P.S if I'm not too late !

Many thanks for your replies: yes, of course I ride a bike - what other way is there to get around Goa ? :-)

I will check out the plastic surgeon, many thanks for the tip. And thanks for the compliment, although you have me at a disadvantage as I am not sure who YOU are ! A hint please?

As for the OU - Yes I start one of their courses in February, and will be using Goa University as a resource. It is down behind the big hospital on the way to the Airport, behind Panjim, and although typically Goan it has a reasonable range of (rather old) books, and a were very welcoming when I went to see them.
You need a UK address to register with the OU, and someone to send on the books etc, but as I will be back in the UK from April it only means that I will be doing the first couple of months in Goa. It shouldn't be a problem.

I hear that its raining well, although I'm glad I'm in Penzance rather than Assagao right now! I'm happy to go back in September / October, when the rains are over !

Love, Annie

I'd research any plastic surgeon carefully and ask for "brfore & after" photos of the work that have performed. Just like body work on a car, some body shops think ythey have done a perfect job while you look at the same car and think that the colors don't match.
