I have a real problem with a reliance on a magic bullet in the form of a pill. Many stomach problems are a result of change in diet and circumstances and using antibiotics only screws up things more. Even a nasty critter like Bacillary isn't suitable for such treatment since some of the symptoms are in effect the cure. Without qualified care I feel that a considerable risk is being taken from self treatment. What is convenient may not be sensible. Lomatil is very much in that pattern as well and poses some danger as well. Pathology is sensible for longer cases. Over a long period I wore out out my welcome with stool samples. Nothing ever came up and treatment would have just prolonged the condition. Basically, the doctor read me the riot act and told me just to adjust. He was right..
