Cholera?
I read somewhere that some areas of India require certification of immunisation against cholera, I've also seen it as a recommended jab. However at my health centre (God bless the NHS) the nurse says she hasn't given a cholera jab for over 10 years. Any ideas?

I think they did stop this years ago as it was ineffectual and they had seemed to wipe out the didease anyway. You are supposed to have a certificate of immunisation against yellow fevere if you are coming from infected areas in South America or Africa....but I never got asked for the certificate in India when I arrived (in fact, I never had to produce it anywhere).

The oral cholera vaccine (only one available in Canada as far as I can tell) only lasts 3 months (and takes 2 weeks to take!).
