| can I get proguanil for malaria in India? I have seen I can buy chloroquine in India and It's cheapper than in UK, but I have heard you need to take Proguanil pills in places where malaria has developed resistance against chloroquine. Is that true? And if it's, can I get them in India as well? Thanks |

| I'm also curious if you can find proguanil, or better yet, Malarone. Malarone is a combination of proguanil and another medication. It has been the best anti-malaria medication I've taken to date. No more weird, uncomfortable side effects. But it comes at a big price in the US. For those interested, the pharmacuetical company's ad about malarone and links to where you can locate it. In my area, you can actually buy it for (a little) less at Cost-Co! http://www.malarone.com/ |

| Not totally effective though, friend got Malaria after just 8 days in Africa while taking Malarone. |
