Question Bugs in laundry?

Do I need to worry about insects laying eggs in laundry drying out of doors, or anything along those lines? I will be in Kerala and Mysore areas.

I had an unforgettable experience with this some years ago in Zimbabwe, where a bug named locally pudzi fly laid invisible eggs in a bath towel. A hot iron would kill the babies, but this wasnt done (and you cant tell if a towel has been ironed!). I ended up covered in the eggs beneath my skin, had to squeeze each one out .....

So I am wondering if there is anything like this to be concerned about in India? I'm not planning to pack an iron (!) but would be careful and dry stuff indoors if there is.

Yuck

I must say though that during 5 visits to india since 1984 nothing of this sort happened to me (allthough that doesn't proof anything (sigh)).

Normally you get everything back ironed including your socks and underwear.

The only think like this I have seen in Kerala is little maggot-like insects in a bucket of soaking clothing that was left for several days. It was pretty gross though, and smelled TERRIBLE.
