Birth Control Pills

I currently live in Delhi ran out of the BCP that i brought from the States. I went to the chemist in Khan Market and got a brand a few months ago that has made my hormones insane. I went back last week and was given what they had had in stock: Diane 35. After buying it i read up on this brand online and now do NOT want to take these.

Does anybody know a good mail order service that will deliver to India? (A place in Delhi that actually has tri-cyclin in stock would be nice but i won't hold my breath.) Oh, a service that will deliver, actually arrive and not cost an arm and a leg would be good.

I can't be the only one having this issue? Anybody?

Ortho tri-cyclin is old fashioned? I seriously had no idea. *eek* While Hubby was finishing his PhD its what they'd give me for free.

I like the 3 phase because i have fewer moodswings. I'm willing to try something else but the the single phase i'm on now is just totally messing with me. PMS doesn't even begin to describe it. *sigh*

If tri-cyclin is old fashioned what what would you recommend in its stead?

Trust 98.4 Degrees Medical stores whenever in India. They are a very good chain of qualified staff but you won't find their stores everywhere though (Elite). In Delhi, I am sure you would find one. Or go to any private hospital's store like Apollo Hospitals etc...There is a medical store in every hospital.

If It is really an emergency, lemme know the name of the pills as known in the states - If available, I will buy them from Chandigarh and ship it across to Delhi, IF THEY DO NOT COST A FORTUNE ! - to buy. There are a few very good hospitals in Chandigarh like Fortis, Silver Oaks etc hwoever like I said earlier - If you wander around a bit, It shouldn't be a problem getting them in Delhi even.

Yes... go see a doctor/hospital. You may or may not want their advice but they will know what is available locally.

You should first see a gynaecologist and get an expert opinion on what medicines are available in India and their possible side-effects. Going in for self medication can be very risky.
