Bargaining in India
Bargaining is done in some places in India. While most stores display price tags on items, don't take such labeling as the final price you should pay. Rather, treat these as the springboard from which to negotiate the pay you will pay. Many stores try to take advantage of tourists' willingness to pay the stated price. One exception to this general rule: government emporiums have truly fixed prices, and no bargaining takes place there.
