Ideas Needed!

Hi I am new in this forum. Am planning to go to India to study Ayurveda preferably in Kerala since it originated there but unfortunatley I did not find the right school yet since there are lot of scams online and the prices are outrageous. Considering that I will be there for 2 months I really have no idea what to plan. Please Please Help!

Regards from Malta

Some recommendations :)

Hello Rubina,

Some of the more focussed centres maybe a lot old fashioned and would not be easy to arrange before travelling to Kerala. Below are some of the big ones you can work on and note my comments.

Some suggestions are as below

Arya Vaidya Sala Kottackal,
Kottackal P.O
Malapuram District Pin-676 503
Tel: 0493-742216
http://www.aryavaidyasala.com/
(The best centre in Kerala, but getting through to them is next to impossible. They have been treating the poorest peasants to many presidents on India and other countries)

Shivananda Yoga Ashram,
Neyyar dam P.O Kattakkada
Trivandrum Dist Pin 695 576
Tel: 0471-273093
http://www.sivananda.org/
(A pure ashram {spiritual abode} with many westerners, have to live there under a strict regimen and the ashram rules)

Sri Dhanvathari Matam,
Pulimoodu Trivandrum-695 001
Tel: 0471-477980/471925
(Makers of one of the most popular brand of original ayurvedic products, a well known centre)

Vasudeva Vilasom Nursing Home,
East Fort, Trivandrum-695 023
Tel: 45136/47799/451979
http://www.vasudeva.com
(A more modern looking centre with a professional management, grown a lil too fast. If they have not lost their old touch, my personal recommendation )

Kottackal Arya Vaidya Sala
Statue Junction
Trivandrum-695001 Tel: 0471-463439
http://www.aryavaidyasala.com/
(The trivandrum branch)
