Ayurveda
Hi,
I am travelling to India in January next year and was hoping to spend a month or so practising yoga as this is a passion of mine (I have done hatha and astanga in the past). I was considering living in Varanasi for a month and finding a local to practise with rather than registering with a school. However, I have been reading this forum and have discovered "ayurveda". Is this a treatment that involves a mixture of yoga and massage? Is Kerala a better centre for this sort of thing than Varanasi? I have lower back problems thanks to a prolapsed disc (am in physio for it now and am hoping it improves before I go off backpacking). Does anyone know if ayurveda would be beneficial for treating this sort of problem? Thanks ![]() |
