Hi, I was in Goa last Jan - May 06 ....had some Ayurvedic treatments ....found it helpful (suffer from ME) . I plan to return to India later this year to escape the winter months ....I need to find a reasonably priced Clinic/hospital for treatment and am also interested in staying in a Yoga Retreat,or combining the two .... all on a moderate budget . I feel Kerela would be a better place to go this time as it is the home of Ayurvedic medicine.
Can anyone give any advice or suggestions ? ps This is my first posting. Reading through the site I have already found this a wonderful place for all sorts of information !Hope someone out there can help ! |

Ayurvedic hospitals in kerala
you can try soem nice ayurvedic hospitals in kerala, and if you r looking for some real cure then better you stick in to the treatment only not gettinginto yoga , and prefer hospitals insted of resorts.
Kottakkal arya vaidhyashala is the best choice ![]()

Ayurveda & Yoga Retreat
this place seems a bit spendy but it looks divine. certainly, a part of the healing experience is the environment.

If you are serious about Ayurveda, Kiranlal is a good man to listen to: he knows his stuff.
If you do want a resort type experience where Ayurveda is taken seriously, try Thapovan. It is a beautiful place. It doesn't have some of the five-star trimmings like AC and swimming pool, but it does have lovely rooms and a beautiful location. Spent a very pleasant few days there last year and plan to return.

Hey Beachseller..I too suffer from M.E and two years ago went to Goa to stay at a clinic for treatment.Whilst there quite a few people recommended a certain hospital in Kerala.(The link is below).I am going there this year and have booked for November.I had excellent results with Ayurveda, and improved greatly, although my friend who also has M.E did not get such a great improvement. My friend says that maybe it is because my M.E is much more 'physical' than hers...?
Good luck and let us know how you get on? http://www.aryavaidyasala.com |
