Am getting really, really scared about going to India :(

First and foremost, India didn't work out well for my son. Three weeks of vomiting, diarrhea, and fever was enough for us to call it as a sign and leave. I'm not sure if I ever had any illusions about he maddening aspects of India. It's always been fascinating to me for its "madness". The big questions were how we'd deal with it on a semi-permanent basis.

After having our plans firmly squashed and ground into the dirt, we recovered and found other adventures. It's still possible that we will come to live in India for a few years but we are staying in Taiwan until our kids are rock solid with Chinese (nearly there already). Perhaps when they're tweeners we'll make the move.

For now I'm just thrilled to be living in Asia with such easy access to so many countries. My wife is in China for business this week, yet we're still in the same time zone. Interesting times.

Ah yes, thanks for the reminder. Anyway, you sound to be having an exciting life: interesting times indeed!
