advise.........AGAIN

Hi

Iv been taking some doxy i got given to me b4 i came, i took them for the 5 days im supposed to b4 i came and im on my third day in india now (so about 8), so i went to buy 100 more today for the rest of my trip and i got given some callded MACDOX, they are green like the ones i was taking, but wht bothers me is that they cost 86 rps for 100 and i know from what iv read they should cost more plus i bought them in mumbai where i thought was suppost to be exspensive.

I wrote in Macdox on the net and nothing came out so if uv heard of them let me know.

Also if they are doxy im pretty sure theyr a different type than trhe ones i have, will it be ok to change the type seeing as iv only been on the others for 8 days

Thanks in advanced

Do you think you could post that in English, please?

It is the ingredient and dosage that matter: not the trade name.

I don't get any result from googling for MACDOX (maybe you tried alrerady). Suggest that, if you are not satisfied with what the pharmacist tells you, you call in to a doctor's surgery and ask.

Doxycycline is very inexpensive; Rs 86 is pretty close to what I paid for 100 tablets a couple of years ago. This is one of the cheapest antibiotics ever ... in the USA, 20 tablets cost me only $1.00.

according to my husband who is an indian physician, mdox is dicyclomen (not doxycycline)... but he wants to know what in the world you need 100 for!....

doxycycline is doxycycline.. it might look different depending on the manufacturer, but the chemical makeup is still the same... capsules or tabs???? hubby is also concerned that you got 100 for 86 bucks tho, as it should cost more (for 100 it should be 550 bucks). please take the pills to another pharmacist and check to see they are real.
