3 months of Doxycycline
Just got my malaria tablets for a 3 month stay in India and it is sizeable enough to carry around. What do prople do if they misplace/lose any of it during the course of their stay in India, just buy the non-prescription anti-malaria tablet from a local chemist.

yep and you could get it even without a prescription. If you forget the name of the tablet, the chemist will help with that too. Just make sure, you can read the expiry date on the medicine.

Are you sure you want to take antibiotics for that long? Not a lot of places in India actually have a high concentration of Malaria, and that's a long time to subject yourself to what amounts to gastrointestinal sterilization. I'm no doctor, and I don't play one here, and if you do get Malaria, don't blame me, pls! The bulk of regular visitors concentrate on avoiding getting bit, unless you are in the terai district of N. India or Nepal. The choice is up to you.
