Visit to Bhuj
I am thinking of visiting Bhuj in January 2006. Has anyone been there lately and could advise me whether a visit there is worth it at this time. Is there still a lot of damage of the earthquake visible in and around Bhuj? Also, I would appreciate any suggestions for hotel accommodation in Bhuj.
Thank you very much! |

Well, January will be good time though bit cold (not much) Bhuj is recovering pretty fast from earthquake and you wont see any sign of damage. Bhuj's taking great new shape in terms of wider roads, better town planning etc...
For budget hotels, you can find better guesthouse or hotel opposite State trasport (ST) bus stop. The best place to visit around bhuj are Mandvi (beach), Vijay vilas palace (Mandvi), Narayan sarovar, banni (If you are interested in Rural architecture). Hope you have great stay... good luck Kashyap
