Veraval - Gir - Diu - Gir for new years

I am a few of my friends are off to Gir on 31st to celebrate beginning of the new year in wilderness! The resort proposed to us Rs. 700 for a pick up from veraval station to sasangir. However, I have heard there are regular trains between Veraval and sasangir as well as rickshaws. Can anybody help me with the timings of the train from Veraval to Sasangir or the phone number for veraval station. How much would a rickshaw/taxi from the station cost?

We also plan to go from sasangir to Diu on 2nd Jan, while we have heard that regular busses and trains ply between sasangir and diu we are not sure about the timings. Ideally we would want to travel early in the morning on 2nd Jan. How much would a taxi cost?

We have a train at 6:25am from veraval on 3rd. Is it possible to find any mode of transport from Sasangir to Veraval at 5:00am?
