I am coming to Vadodara for the month in september.

This is my second india trip.

Last time i was there, i could easily go 3 days without seeing another white person. when i did find one, they usually turned out to be rude.

I enjoy the locals very much, but i am interested in talking to everyone.

Will any of you be in town the same time?
Any of you recently been there?

Where are your favorite places to eat?
Are there any pool halls or discos?
Last time they had zero.

Thanks.

From that wike page I would definitely recommend this.

Vishal Sandwich, near Baroda High School in Alkapuri. Try their Samosa Sandwich.

Try a restaurant which is located on first floor of Express Hotel. There is also a Pizza hut and Mc.donalds near Racecourse circle. try and go to Inox cinema to watch a movie. Try and visit Sayaji Baug. There is a nice rajasthani ice cream stall near racecourse circle, try their rajbhog icecream only rs 20.Also if u want to try panipuri or bhelpuri, near racecourse circle is a good stall, just turn left from race course circle rs 10 for panipuri and he uses mineral water. Which hotel are u staying , i can recommend u some hotels as well if interested. If u feel like sandwich, there is one oppsite Express hotel just go on street opposite Express hotel stall will be on left side, called Vishal Sandwich.

If you want to taste kathiawadi cuisine, then Khadki kathiawadi near Sur Sagar(the lake in the city, near dandia bazaar) is a fantastic place. You could explore the old city from there.

welcome to Baroda. no discos but if you are h ere next month, you can take part in one of the longest running party on earth called Navratri. During this festival, from the late evenings till after midnight, everywhere you look there will be roadside stalls, great music and beautiful girls dancing to the music. If you are here for a shorter duration, and have a strong palate you should try Raju omlette in Karelibaug, Indo Chinese fare from the roadside stalls near the University, Vishal sandwich in Alkapuri and Samrat icecream in the Sursagar area. Also Try a Kathiawadi dhaba on the outskirts of the city. Baroda is a very friendly and laidback city. I have some fond memories of the Windy city from when I lived in America and am up for a meetup.
