Regarding Non Veg food, you may go to Neelambagh Palace, a very beautiful heritage place. I have been to this place and it's very good. I am a vegan but some of our party members were carnivorous, so we landed up here
Hotel Blue Hill, Behind Jashonath Temple and Hotel Apollo, Opp. Central Bus Station also serve non veg food. Regarding liquor....no idea.....you may ask locally Just remember...seek and thou shall get...........

Yes, Gujarat is a dry state and one needs a liquor permit and then you can procure yuor quota from any permit shops. two links below to help you.
the non-veg part is answered earlier. try the roast chicken in brown sauce at neelam bagh palace. ![]() Liquor Permit http://www.associatedcontent.com/art...alcoholic.html |

I got a liquor permit from a place across the road from Churchgate station (from the side entrance), but I can't remember the name of the place, and it was about 6-7 years ago, I'm sure it had something to do with tourism and may have only been for foreign tourists.

Hi,
There was a discussion sometime back here... Wine Anyone? From what i know... for a Indian national coming in from another state, he has to go to the "govt" liquor shop in his town with a copy of his driving licence and also another person ( a localite) would have to accompany him with a copy of the localite's driving licence.Based on above a liquor permit is issued for the non resident. Fee is around Rs.250 for the permit. Liquor is costly from these shops as there is atleast 60% VAT on the same. Hope that helps...
