Simbhor beach & late replies...

hello indiamike, The naida caves in Diu…as interesting as ever You could wander around for hours. Where I live the internet has a long way to go and so its rare that I use it these days ..much as I would like to be more regular on this forum. Simbhor is a village in gujrat about 28 km. from Diu. It’s a nice drive from Diu. take the shortcut across the river at delwada. The Simbhor beach is a one km stretch which belongs to the Diu territory…and the completely broken down small fort was actually a sentry outpost. (The only jail was and still is in the main fort at Diu. The fortim do mar which is the other interesting building in the sea just off the Diu shore was also a lookout point for approaching vessels…) Theres nothing else there on the simbhor beach except for a small Bunch of Diu fishermen’s huts during the fishing season. The beach is great and the only shade is under the thorny bushes. Take your own water and food. Good for an outing if you’ve been in Diu for a while.
