| scuba in Gulf of Kutch has anyone ever heard of any scuba outfits running in the Gulf of Kutch's Marine Reserve? from either side of the gulf--Jamnagar or Mandvi? i went to Okha today, and it seemed like an idea no one had ever heard of. i imagine the corals are destroyed, but it's supposed to still have some remaining reefs and lots of turtles and dolphins. i definitely know there are turtles, as i saw one in Dwarka! |

| Scuba? Gulf of Kutch? Dude, the water out there is known to be heavily polluted with extremely low visibility underwater. |

Yes Dude, there are many places around here in Jamnagar where the visibility can be upto 10 meters !! The Gulf of Kutch still has lovely coral and undersea wonders to marvel at.. | |

| Related... The water is murky, but I don't know if the murkiness in the waters is pollution or natural sediment/sand- I suspect its more of the latter. I believe there are some beaches where one can see some coral at low water, never heard of organised scuba diving. The Gulf of Kutch does have, however, one of the strongest currents on the Indian coast. So I would be careful who (if at all) was organising scuba trips.
