Have you asked your local contacts - e.g. where you are staying now, sheri? I would think they would be the best people to point you in the right direction! People you get to know through restaurants, shopkeepers etc. in your daily routine are the ones to ask, for local knowledge.
I take it you have already been two months in Baroda, going by your first post here.

For used motor cycle..you may approach any Bullet (as Royal Enfield is commonly known) mechanic. In India usually mechanics work as brokers for used vehicles.

Fair enough! A guitar might not be a sought after instrument in the area where you are living, maybe you might need to go to a bigger city, like Ahmedabad? Are there any music shops in Baroda - if so, ask there if they can get one for you, or any suggestions as to how you can find one.
I see it's a university city - maybe try the Student Union there or something like this. Perhaps there's a notice board for ads where you could put a request. Sorry I can't help but hopefully a Baroda member (if we have some) might, but in the meantime, these are some ideas for you! |

Adventure sports around Vadodara also : 1. you can check out Sardar sarovar dam on narmada river 2. Mahi river side For buying guitar or related information pls check at Music college [part of M.S. University]near Sursaagar lake [Mandvi area]. For motorcycles suggestions given by other Imers are absolutely spot on. Have fun in Baroda. ![]() |

Hi Sheri,
Hope you are enjoying your stay in Baroda. Fatehgunj is the place to go for guitars in Baroda. There are a couple of music teachers in Fatehgunj, one of the classes is named Anhat classes and it is right besides the Kamatibaugh in the same building as Bhagyashree restaurant. There is also a teacher named Mr. Fernandes from whom I bought my guitar in 2000. I dont remember his number though. As for camping around Baroda, the hills around Pavagadh would be great. Then there is Jambughoda http://gujaratforest.gov.in/wildlife/jambuhoda1.htm |
