Hoka Resort-Diu

Is the mid-October a suitable period to visit Diu?.
Does Diu gets a lot of rush during Navratri period?

Also does anybody has current information regarding Hoka Resorts. They have not responded to my email queries.

Thanks
Vishal

Hi Vmehra24,

I have also had difficulty reaching Hoka Resort using their e-mail. Believe the internet has been down lately due to rains. However I get a quick response if I PM the owner and also member of indiamike. His indiamike name is Indiawise. Look him up. Very helpful gentleman. We are booked to stay there in late November.

Yes and Thank you 'gohome'!
One of those special occasions when 'ALL' the computers, including my laptop deceided to go on the blink at around the same time. Closest cyber cafe being nearly 8 km away and quite often not working; has curtailed my net prescence. Diu being a small place we get to fix our gadgets in 400 km away Ahmedabad. Combine that with the Indo-gujarati service standards looks like its going to be a long haul getting those comps fixed!

I am traveling and Vishal the info about Hoka is pretty much on the website--www.resorthoka.com.
Navratras are usually not so busy in Diu as most of its guests, tourists, customers.... celebrate in their own cities..Ahmedabad, Baroda. etc. Unlike Diwali which is the busiest time in Diu, Navratras can be a very good time to vist. However check for availability of room.
Do ask for a discount at this time as there are lean dates when hotels will gladly give good discounts.
Our rates at this time vary between Rs.1,550 (delux room) to Rs. 1350/-(semi-delux).
Please mail your enquiriers to www.resorthoka@travelindia.com. And I will try and revert at the earliest.

Agree with indiawise
navratras is actually a good time to visit and folks fom neighbouring Gujrat are generally headed to diu for a booze weekend (Gujrat still suffers from prohibition). So it should be less crowded.
If u are looking for a laid back vacation, Diwali time is not recommended...
