That is really being adventurous !!

I guess the bloke preferred PUMA

Jokes apart - he should thank his stars that he was not drugged or anything else for such equipment I am sure someone would not hesitate in doing the unthinkable.

The temple just saved his life I suppose !!

Glad to know that he is back home. If a local person from a near by village did it the local police could have helped. Did your friend lodge a complaint with the police?

We are all relieved that he is fine and came back without any more issues.

He has lodged a complaint in Dwaraka. But by the looks of it, police were not very proactive to do anything.

I guess the first thing a constable told him when he went to complain was
"Nothing that sort happens here" and turned his face other side.
That means that the person trying to lodge a complaint is telling a lie.

Still hoping that something can be recovered, but the prospects are very bleak.

Here is a suggestion.

Dwarka and the surrounding area are complete Reliance Industries territory.
If you/your friend have any contacts in the Mukesh Ambani Petrochemical group, in Jamnagar, the police will be in a hurry to deliver the goods to your friend's doorstep.

No wonder natives have started learning ways of new world order. Deciet, breach of faith, thuggery, bribes and robbery were unknown in area till recently.
Now these are considred acceptable business tectics to become rich and more rich very very fast.

sorry to hear this. I forgot my bag in auto ricksaw in Ahmedabad last year, a day before I was leaving India but never got anything back. I rushed to local news paper, went to two radio stations and announced it there, my friends and family distributed flyers for a reward of Rs. 25K..just to copy and drop off our vacation photos and video and they can keep my camera/video camera/computer etc...no questions asked...but nothing worked.
I went to police station to file a complain..but same repsonse as shs mentioned..Police made me feel like I was lying and told me that I'm from US and can afford to buy what I lost. I kept telling them it's not about money, it's about all the memories I lost..but they failed to understand. Police are simply useless in Gujarat. I understand what your friend would have gone through and hope that he recovers his stuff.
