HELP - Stranded in Dwarka

Hi,

One of my friend is stranded in Dwarka.
He started on a cycle journey, but robbed of everything in dwarka.

Currently he is in a cyber cafe with 22 rs in hand.

If any of the IMers are in Dwarka, i would request(beg) them to help him out.

If he does need to fly, he can't do it without ID. If he's Indian, a train ticket would be a better option.

I assume he is Indian. And if he is then I am sure he can take care of himself in Delhi by making a few calls.

The police can also help

I doubt anyone here from Dwarka wil be able to do much.

Yes you are right , i saw the name of forum after posting.
Any way wherever he is right now more details are required, so as some one else in that area can extend some help.

I dread being in such situations, as many times we are also travelling alone.Police should be able to provide some kind of help in such situations at least some food and home dropping.

Hey Guys,

Thanks a lot for the concern.
He is in Gujrat!

Could able to arrange 1000 Rs. His next plan is to take a next bus to Ahmedabad.
We have booked flight tickets from Ahmedabad to Bangalore.

As you guys said, ID is an issue.
We are planning to get some Police Letter from Ahmedabad and have spoken to Airport authorities already.
Just hoping that everything will be fine.

Thanks once again people, sorry, i could not update the status earlier as I was running around for some arrangements.

Just for the stats, he lost goods worth 1.25L Rupees.

sad, money and photographs also gone.
neither was he able to comlete the trip.Main thing is he is unharmed physically.
1000.00 rupees is fair amount at the least to cover his daily expenses on way back home.

cityMonk,

Even I feel so.
He did a Arunachal to Gujurat 18 months back.
Passing thro remote areas of Assam and Bihar without any issues.
How would anybody imagined this would happen in such a place.
Waiting for him to come and tell us about the story.

Shree (The Cyclist) returned to bangalore last night.
The story is something like this.

He stayed overnight in a temple 15 kms before dwaraka along with another person (localite from a nearby village)
Early morning, everything vanished.
The other person had taken everything except sleeping bag and a pair of Adidas shoe.
