help pls... Nalsarovar

Hello,

I'm visiting Little Rann of Kutch and Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary b/w 26-29 Jan. Can someone recommend a decent place to stay in Nalsarovar or closeby for 2 nights. I prefer not to travel from Ahmadabad to Nalsarovar back and forth.

Any sugesstion you may provide is much appreciated.

thanks. I did speak to few ppl in zainabad... it is 90kms and it will be crazy if I use that as base for 2 nights. Don't want to get up at 3am and drive to sanctuary area.. LOL

...are you planning to go birding early in the morning @ nalsarovar ? the closest I could find was this: http://www.riturajpalace.com/aboutus.php?topid=1 - it's still 36 kms but better than the other options. They may be able to guide you / arrange for car etc if you dont have transportation otherwise.

There was some talk of tented accommodation by Gujarat forest department in 2009 but it doesn't seem to have developed or launched properly.

So, krishii - if i were in your position (like i was during my Chilika visit last week), I'd buy a sleeping bag and just go and find something at the last minute....
